A BLT made with some extra nutritious AVOlove!
Essential Pregnancy Nutrients:
Protein: Bacon & Hummus
Fiber: Avocado, Whole Grain Bread & Spinach
B vitamins: Whole Grain bread
Folate: Spinach & Avocado
Antioxidants: Hummus & Spinach
Potassium: Avocado
Ingredients:
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 slices whole grain bread
- 1 avocado
- 1 large ripe tomato
- Hummus
- 1 cup or 1 bunch of spinach
Serving Size: 1 Sandwich
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
PREPARATION
1. Cook bacon.
2. Toast the bread.
3. Slice the avocado and tomato. Sprinkle with a little sea salt.
4. Assemble the sandwich by spreading hummus on both sides of the bread. Layer the bread with spinach, tomato, and avocado slices.
5. Top with bacon and lettuce. Add the other slice of bread. Enjoy!
